French Open 2023 tips: Women's singles day one guide and suggested bets

The French Open has thrown up plenty of interesting women's singles matches for its opening day of action on Sunday.
The 2023 French Open women's singles main draw commences on Sunday May 28 2023 with play starting at 11:00 local time (10:00 BST) across all of the courts at the Stade Roland Garros.
Women's singles matches will take place alongside a batch of opening round men's matches.
The women's singles draw will enjoy pride of place on the show courts on a packed opening day schedule for the French Open.

An All-American popcorn clash between Danielle Collins and Jessica Pegula promises intrigue on Sunday.

Collins lost the only match she played on clay this season but is a player who saves her best performances for Grand Slams.
