Billie Jean King Cup Finals relocated from Seville to Malaga
The Billie Jean King Cup Finals, set to take place in November, will be hosted in Malaga instead of Seville.
The 12-team event will still take place from November 13-20 but will now join the Davis Cup Finals at the Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena Arena.
The men's event is being held in Malaga for the third year in a row and runs from November 19-24.
Organisers the International Tennis Federation said the change was made at the behest of the Regional Government of Andalucia, the partner organisation of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
Fans can exchange their tickets for the new venue, which is around two-and-a-half hours away from Seville, or receive a refund, but the news will not go down well with supporters who have already booked travel and accommodation.
It is the second major change to the competition this year, with the ITF moving from a round-robin format to straight knockout.
Great Britain, who qualified by right for the event for the first time thanks to victory over France in April, will play Germany in their first match on November 15.
