Napoli and Lazio meet at Stadio Diego Maradona in a mouth-watering Serie A clash on Saturday night.

Napoli and Lazio, the top two teams in Serie A last season, will face off in round three of the current season on Saturday at Stadio Diego Maradona.

The last time the two teams met near Vesuvius, in March, Lazio won 1-0. In fact, the away team has won each of the last three meetings between the two teams by a narrow margin.

Napoli won 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome twice before Lazio won there in the spring.

After two rounds of matches, Napoli is one of four teams with a perfect record, along with Milan, Inter, and Verona.

The defending champions began the season with a 3-1 victory away at newly promoted Frosinone. In their previous match, they won 2-0 at home against Sassuolo, despite missing a penalty.

A positive development for the current champions is that Victor Osimhen is continuing to play at the same high level as he did last season.

The Nigerian forward, who was the top scorer in Serie A last season, scored three of Napoli's five goals and is now tied with Giroud of Milan and Lautaro Martinez of Inter at the top of the league's scoring charts.

Suggested bet: Napoli -1 Asian handicap

In addition, after missing the first round due to medical problems, Kvaratskhelia returned against Sassuolo and provided an assist.

Kvaradona is slated to make his first start of the season this weekend.

The previous season's runners-up, on the other hand, completely fumbled the start of the new Serie A season.

Lazio lost their first two matches of the season, 2-1 to Lecce away and 0-1 to newly promoted Genoa at home, despite leading in both games.

Maurizio Sarri's team had a very poor start and the Napoli game will be the first in a difficult run of fixtures for the Biancocelesti.

Following this, they will play against Juventus and Milan, and will then begin their Champions League campaign in a group that includes Feyenoord, Atlético Madrid, and Celtic.

A further loss could put Lazio in a crisis that could prematurely jeopardize their season.

Lazio’s squad is in good shape except for Pedro, and this week they signed French midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi, who previously played for Arsenal and Marseille.

The 24-year-old player is unlikely to play this weekend and is more likely to be available after the international break.

Suggested bet: Khvicha Kvaratskheila to score
