Fulham vs Sheffield United tips and predictions: Blunt Blades to continue woeful run in London

Carlos Vinicius and Tim Ream

Planet Sport Bet's Robbie Savage is backing Fulham to pile more misery on Sheffield United this Saturday in the Premier League.

I think Fulham start favourites just because of Sheffield United’s record away from home against London clubs in the Premier League.

Their record is only two wins from the last 31 away games in London in the competition.

I think Fulham will win this one, I think both teams to score in a 2-1 win.

Robbie’s Tip: Fulham 2-1 Sheffield United

Fulham vs Sheffield United team news

Tosin Adaribioyo is out until November. Adama Traore and Kenny Tete are also out injured, but Marco Silva has a fairly fit squad to pick from.

Changes are likely after their disappointing performance against Chelsea, so Alex Iwobi could start on the left with Carlos Vinicius deputising for Raul Jimenez.

Ben Osborne, Max Lowe, John Egan and Daniel Jebbison are unavailable with the latter out of action due to an unconfirmed and ongoing health-related issue.

George Baldock, William Osula and Rhys Norrington-Daves are expected to be out until after the international break, but John Fleck will face a late fitness test.

Key stats

- Fulham have beaten Sheffield United 1-0 in both Premier League meetings at home.

- Fulham’s only wins this season have come against Everton and Luton.

- Sheffield United are allowing 22 shots per game this season.

- The Blades have conceded 19 goals in seven matches.

Planet Sport’s other bets to consider

Sheffield United are one of two teams yet to bag a victory in the Premier League this season and the pressure is certainly mounting.

Paul Heckingbottom's side followed up their 8-0 thumping against Newcastle with a 2-0 loss away at West Ham last weekend.

This time round, the South Yorkshire outfit take on a Fulham side which is not exactly flying at this moment.

Marco Silva's men are particularly  struggling in the goalscoring department, finding the back of the net just five times in the Premier League this term.

Sheffield have also bagged five goals, meaning we shouldn’t get our hopes up for this Saturday’s encounter.

Under 2.5 goals is the way to go in the goal market, though backing either side in the outrights is not as easy.

However, one stat which gives Fulham the slight edge is Sheffield’s truly woeful record in London. The Blades have won just two of 31 trips to the capital in the Premier League.

With that in mind, we’re backing Fulham to bag just their third league success of the season.

Fulham to win

Under 2.5 goals
