Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest tips and predictions: Shackles off at Selhurst Park as Eagles thump Reds

Eberechi Eze at Selhurst Park

Planet Sport Bet ambassador Robbie Savage is predicting Crystal Palace to turn on the style against Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Can Palace beat Forest at the seventh attempt in the Premier League? Haven’t won in the previous six.

Nottingham Forest on the road, we know they can score goals, they’ve scored at the Emirates, they’ve scored at Stamford Bridge.

Palace, on the back of going to Old Trafford and winning.

I think both teams will score, but I’m going with a Crystal Palace 3-1 win.

Robbie’s Tip: Crystal Palace 3-1 Nottingham Forest

Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest team news

Crystal Palace will have to deal with a lengthy injury list ahead of the weekend.

Eberechi Eze, Dean Henderson, Jefferson Lerma, Matheus Franca, Michael Olise and James Tomkins are all set to miss the match.

Eagles’ French duo of Naouirou Ahamada and Odsonne Edouard are also doubts.

Forest, on the other hand, are without the injured trio of Danilo, Felipe and Wayne Hennessey. Nuno Tavares, meanwhile, is a doubt.

Key stats

- Crystal Palace have won four of their previous 15 matches at Selhurst Park.
- Ten of the last 13 games at Selhurst Park have had under 2.5 goals.
- Forest have dominated the head-to-head, winning six and drawing four of 12.
- Cooper’s side have picked up just two away wins since being promoted.

Planet Sport’s other bets to consider

Roy Hodgson will now be looking to record back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since April as Nottingham Forest visit the capital.

Steve Cooper’s men have enjoyed a steady start to the campaign, picking up eight points from their first seven games.

Their first four away games this season have come against heavyweights in the form of Arsenal, Man United, Chelsea and Man City. With that in mind, a three-point haul from those games doesn’t sound too bad.

Palace perhaps aren’t the same calibre of opposition, though considering they only lost one of their last eight at Selhurst Park makes them tough opposition.

The Eagles have been more of a threat in front of goal since Hodgson's arrival and Forest have conceded in all but one of their previous 13 Premier League away games.

In fact, Steve Cooper's side have shipped at least two in 11 of those games.
