Chelsea vs Brentford tips and predictions: Blues to mark historic first as comeback story continues

Chelsea appear to rediscovered some form as they head into the weekend with a four-match unbeaten run. Planet Sport Bet ambassador Robbie Savage excepts their solid form to continue against Brentford.
In their last three Premier League games, Chelsea have gathered more points and scored more goals than they have in their previous nine.
Even though Brentford have got a decent record at Stamford Bridge, winning their last two, I don’t think they’ll win this.
I think Chelsea to win it and I’m going Chelsea two, Brentford nil.
Robbie’s Tip: Chelsea 2-0 Brentford

Team news
Chelsea have battled with injuries from the first week of the season and the situation remains difficult for Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the weekend.
Ben Chilwell, Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah, Carney Chukwuemeka, Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku are all out of action. There are also doubts over Marcus Bettinelli.
Brentford, on the other hand, will be without Shandon Baptiste, Mikkel Damsgaard, Joshua Dasilva, Rico Henry, Kevin Schade and the suspended Ivan Toney.
There are also question marks over Keane Lewis-Potter’s availability.
Key stats
- Brentford have won both of their Premier League games at Stamford Bridge
- Chelsea won just two of their last 12 Premier League London derbies
- Chelsea have won more points and scored more goals in their last three Premier League games than they did in their previous nine matches

Planet Sport’s other bets to consider
The fact Chelsea have never beaten Brentford in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge seems quite remarkable… until you remember there have only been two such fixtures.
Still, little old Brentford have done well to capitalise on Chelsea’s struggles over the last couple of years. Question is, can the Bees do a hat-trick on the sleeping giants?
Last weekend, Thomas Frank’s men turned on the style to beat Burnley 3-0 at home. However, that was only their first Premier League win in seven games.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have been steadily improving. Mauricio Pochettino’s men started their turnaround against Brighton in the Carabao Cup last month, winning 1-0.
Since then, the Blues beat Fulham 2-0, thrashed Burnley 4-1 and drew with high-flying Arsenal 2-2. Clearly, something is beginning to click at Stamford Bridge.
With that in mind, how can we possibly go against Chelsea? Our recommendation is to back the hosts to bag their fourth win in five games across all competitions.
Brentford won’t make it easy and both teams to score is certainly on the cards.
