Will Manchester United splash some more cash in this summer's transfer window? Ben Mulholland speculates on who could rock up at Old Trafford in the next few weeks.

Manchester United have already been active in the summer transfer window, signing three players. Andre Onana, Mason Mount, and most recently, an unexpected return for veteran Jonny Evans on a one-year deal.

Erik Ten Hag is still looking to strengthen his squad for the Premier League and Champions League challenges in the 2023/24 season.

Neymar Jr.

PSG are looking to move Neymar on this summer, and this has spiked interest from Old Trafford as they look to strengthen their attack for next season.
It has been reported that Neymar would be open to joining the Red Devils and says he will refuse a move to any other club.
The 31-year-old has made 20 appearances and started 18, scoring 13 goals in Ligue 1 in the 2022/23 campaign.

An ankle injury saw Neymar's season end back in February, with his last game for PSG coming in a 4-3 win against Lille at the Parc des Princes.

Manchester United swooping for Neymar would be seen as a huge coup for the club and firm flag in the ground on their intentions ahead of the new season.

Leon Goretzka

Manchester United have been monitoring Leon Goretzka for many years now an fans hope this is the summer when he finally joins the club.
It has been rumoured that Bayern Munich are willing to sell the German international for £34 million as the Bundesliga giants seek to raise funds to sign Harry Kane.
United will want to sign Goretzka as a replacement for Fred and Scott McTominary, with both midfielders being linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Goretzka has played 27 games and started 22 last season, averaging 64 minutes per game.

Rasmus Hojlund

Man Utd have been heavily linked with Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund on a permanent deal as thhey continue their ongoing hunt for the tip of the Old Trafford spear.
In the 2022 January transfer window, Ten Hag signed Dutch striker Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley, but he only managed to score one goal in 26 appearances at the club. Forcing Ten Hag back to the drawing board.
Hojlund has found the net nine times this season for Atalanta and has already scored six goals in four appearances for Denmark in the UEFA Euro Qualifiers.

Sofyan Amrabat

Fiorentina Sofyan Amrabat has been on United's radar for some time now, and Ten Hag has already worked with him previously at Utrecht.
Amrabat played a vital part in Morocco's famous run in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, finishing fourth after getting beaten 2-0 by France in the semi-final.
He helped Fiorentina reach the final at the club level in the Coppa Italia and UEFA Conference league finals.
Since then, big European clubs, including Manchester United, have shown interest in the 26-year-old.
With Fred being linked with a move away from Old Trafford, Ten Hag would like to at some depth in his midfield, and Amrabat would be a fine addition to the squad.

Axel Disasi

The Red Devils have been linked with 25-year-old Axel Diasasi from Monaco.
Disasi has slowly established himself as a first-team regular for Monaco, having gradually gathered more and more Ligue 1 minutes since his move to the Louis II Stadium three seasons ago.
The Frenchman has man 24 starts and scored three goals, which is impressive for a defender; he has now given 30 and 37 starts for his side in the last two seasons.
This impressive run of games has caught the eye of some big European clubs, but has increased his price tag to 45million euros (£38.6m).

Khephren Thuram

Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram has been linked to a move to Anfield, but United are trying to hijack the move and convince the youngster to move to Old Trafford
The 22-year-old has played 35 games and started 30 in Ligue 1 last season; the Frenchman averages 7.04 in ratings in the Ligue 1.
These stats have grabbed the attention of teams in Europe, such as Liverpool and Manchester United.
Thuram looked nailed on to join Liverpool, however, Manchester United forced itself into the race as the current owner of AFC Nice, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, could potentially become the new owner at Old Trafford.

Gabri Veiga

Manchester United are plotting to sign Celta Vigo wunderkind Gabri Veiga on a permanent deal this summer.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed his breakout season in La Liga, scoring nine goals and grabbing four assists.
Despite being more of an attacking midfielder, Veiga has shown versatility, having been used as a central midfielder and centre forward.
These outstanding performances have led to United scouts sending rave reviews to Ten Hag.
