United States win the CONCACAF Nations League 2023

Premier League players Brendan Aaronson, Chris Richards and Folarin Balogun starred as the USA beat Canada to win the CONCACAF Nations League.

A number of present and past Premier League players featured in the CONCACAF Nations League final on Sunday night, as the United States beat Canada 2-0 in Las Vegas.

Leeds United midfielder Brendan Aaronson struggled on the ball but was praised for his work rate and defensive efforts as he silenced Alphonso Davies.
Crystal Palace defender Chris Richards opened the scoring for the Stars and Stripes as he headed in a Giovanni Reyna corner.
The London-based centre-back played his part in keeping Cyle Larin and Jonathan David quiet on the night.
Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun put the game out of reach with a lovely taken finish inside the box to make it 2-0.
The hosts were fairly comfortable as they picked up their second consecutive CONCACAF Nations League trophy, making them the only winners to date.
Celtic defender Alistair Johnston was on the losing side, as was Reading striker Junior Hoillet.
Leeds United midfielders Weston McKennie and Tyler Adams missed the game through suspension and injury respectively.
Chelsea's Christian Pulisic and Fulham fullback Antonee Robinson lined up on the left-hand side of the pitch for the States.
Arsenal defender Auston Trusty, a player who spent the season on loan at Birmingham City, replaced Chris Scally for the final 11 minutes.
