Tottenham sign 'next Son Heung-min' 'Yang Min-Hyeok' on five-year deal
Tottenham has signed South Korean winger Yang Min-Hyeok, who has been dubbed to be the next 'Son Heung-min', from K League 1 side Gangwon on a five-year contract.
It all started on 6/27 when Gangwon FC President Kim Byung Ji revealed they were in talks with a London based team in the upper echelons of of the Premier League.
This cut the likely list of clubs to Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham, or Arsenal.
The 18-year-old, whose deal is subject to international clearance and the granting of a work permit, will be loaned back to his former side until January.
A South Korea under-17 international, Yang is the K League's youngest-ever scorer and has made 25 first-team appearances this campaign, scoring eight times.
He represented his country at both the Under-17 World Cup and Under-17 Asia Cup.
Yang is set to be the third player under the age of 20 to join Tottenham this summer, after Archie Gray, 18, made the £40million move from Leeds and Lucas Bergvall, 19, joined from Djurgarden.
