Stoke City sign Ireland international goalkeeper Mark Travers on loan

Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers makes a save during the Premier League match at Goodison Park - May 2023

Mark Travers played a crucial role in helping Bournemouth secure promotion to the Premier League in 2022 and will be hoping to do the same at Stoke this season.

Stoke have signed goalkeeper Mark Travers on a season-long loan from Bournemouth.
The 24-year-old has made 70 appearances for the Cherries, starting all but one of their league matches in the promotion campaign to the Premier League in 2021-22.
The Republic of Ireland international also picked up the Championship golden glove award that season after keeping 24 clean sheets.
Technical director Ricky Martin told Stoke's website: "For a goalkeeper of his age to have already achieved what he has in the game is rare and remarkable.
"He has featured in international football, played in the Premier League and - perhaps most importantly - was a standout performer when Bournemouth got promoted a couple of seasons ago."
Travers added: "This is a great opportunity to test myself in the Championship again and I'm pleased to have had the interest from Stoke City."
