Ronaldinho offers advice to Mohamed Salah on his Liverpool future

Football legend Ronaldinho believes Mohamed Salah should choose his next move based on 'happiness'.

Salah had an outstanding season for the Reds, scoring 31 goals and 16 assists as Liverpool went on the win the FA Cup and League Cup while they finished runner-up in the Champions League and Premier League.
There are fears of Salah leaving though. Despite committing himself to Liverpool next season, he is yet to agree a new deal and as it stands, will be free to talk to other clubs from January.

Europe's biggest clubs are keeping tabs on the situation, including Real Madrid who missed out on signing Kylian Mbappe this season after the Frenchman signed a new deal at Paris Saint-Germain.

Ronaldinho - who played for Barcelona, AC Milan and PSG - spoke about the current situation.

"An advice to Salah regarding his future," he told Goal. "The most important thing is for him to be happy, football is a source of happiness and it must be no matter what club he plays for in the future.

"He has to keep playing football in a way that makes him happy because there's nothing better than playing football."

The Brazilian is regarded as one of the greatest to have played the game. His achievements include winning the 2002 World Cup, 2005 Ballon d'OR, two La Liga's and the 2006 Champions League.
He was seen as a pivotal part to the progression of Lionel Messi when he was coming through the ranks at Barcelona and was part of a side that included Samuel Etoo at the peak of his powers.

With Brazil, he inspired them to World Cup glory alongside two other football icons in Rivaldo and Ronaldo.
Despite some of the names he played with, Ronaldinho admitted he would have loved to have been team-mates with Salah.
He said: "I wished I could play alongside Mohamed. He is one of the best players in the world, who I always like to watch."
