Saudi Arabian First Division side Al Qadsiah have sacked Robbie Fowler despite an unbeaten start to the league campaign.

Al Qadsiah sit second in the Saudi First Division, after the former Liverpool and England striker had overseen six wins and two draws from eight league matches, with the only defeat so far coming in the King’s Cup against Pro League club Al Taawoun.

Following the announcement of Fowler’s departure, former Real Madrid and Spain striker Michel was confirmed as the club’s new manager.

“Al Qadsiah terminates its contractual relationship with coach Robbie Fowler,” the club said on social media.

“We thank the coach for what he provided during the contractual period with the team.”
