Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is reportedly close to signing for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich are in advanced talks to sign Manchester City defender Kyle Walker, according to reports from Sky Germany.

The 33-year-old has one year remaining on his contract with Manchester City.

Bayern's head coach, Thomas Tuchel, has played a crucial role in convincing Walker to join the Bundesliga champions.

During the Champions League final, Pep Guardiola chose Manuel Akanji over Walker, which raised speculation about his future at City.

Guardiola previously mentioned that Walker struggled to fit into City's system, saying he "doesn't have every one of the characteristics" needed.

Since his arrival from Tottenham in 2017, Walker has won numerous titles, including the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and the Champions League.
