Jurgen Klopp: No issues in Liverpool team after on-field argument
Jurgen Klopp insisted he was not concerned about any underlying issues within his team after an on-pitch row between two Liverpool players during the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.
James Milner and Virgil Van Dijk had a very heated argument after Manchester United's first goal which was caught by the TV cameras, but Klopp was keen to deflect attention away from that and concentrate on a disappointing result.
The 2-1 defeat saw Manchester United move above Liverpool in the table and compound the Merseysiders' frustrating start to the season. Last season's runners-up have just two points from their opening three games.
"There was an argument on the pitch but we don't have any kind of issues in the team," said Klopp.
"Nobody is happy after you lose a game. That's completely normal. This is not an excuse. All is fine in this department.
"I'm very disappointed about the result.
"It is a game where everything was clear what United would do. Were they more aggressive than us at the beginning? Probably, yes.
"It was exactly the game United wanted to play. That's our fault, you could say.
"But until the final pass or final decision we played like we should have played. We had a lot of moments in the box.
"We scored a goal, which was absolutely deserved, but it was slightly late. We could have won the game tonight if we'd played slightly better."

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson was left fuming after another poor start by the visitors.
"Obviously not great," he told Sky Sports.
"It has definitely not been the start to the season we wanted, it has been really poor and we have given every team a goal start and that is the basics of the game, you can't keep giving yourself an uphill battle.
"We've conceded an early goal again, started slow again - that is what needs to change, you can't keep going behind.
"We started the second half slow again and are 2-0 down then you find your rhythm.
"Two points from nine is not the start we wanted, we need to pick our performances up individually and collectively and we need to kick start our season that is for sure."
