Hamstring injury rules Kieran Tierney out of Scotland’s Spain showdown
Kieran Tierney will not be in the Scotland squad when Steve Clarke names his group for the crucial Euro 2024 qualifier in Spain.
Tierney suffered a hamstring injury during Real Sociedad's Basque derby win over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.
After tests, Sociedad head coach Imanol Alguacil subsequently revealed it was a "significant" tear "but nothing extraordinary".
There was no timescale given for the absence of the on-loan Arsenal defender.
Clarke will announce his latest selection on Wednesday ahead of the game in Seville on October 12 and friendly against France in Lille five days later.
