Glazer protests grow at Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United vs Liverpool
A large crowd of Manchester United fans have gathered outside Old Trafford ahead of tonight's match against Liverpool to protest against the club's Glazer family ownership.
Manchester United supporters' group 'The 1958' have set-up a march to protest against what it calls "an ownership that is systematically starving and killing the greatest football institution in world football, for greed."
Manchester United fans are angry at the Glazer family's running of the club which has seen the club's debts rise to nearly £500million in the last financial year an increase of 11.8 per cent.
Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) also backs the protests, but is unsure how much impact a walkout would have during the game.
"MUST is promoting the 1958 organised protest on Monday to our members," it said.
Billionaire United fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly interested in buying the club.
