Fabrizio Romano: No links between Tottenham's Harry Kane and Bayern Munich
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that there are no substantial links between Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Bayern Munich.
Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided an exclusive update on the Harry Kane transfer situation, refuting any suggestions of strengthening links with Bayern Munich.
Romano, renowned for his accurate transfer news, stated that despite ongoing speculation, there is currently no concrete or advanced movement in the transfer saga. In his CaughtOffside column, Romano emphasized the difficulty in negotiating with Tottenham, hindering any potential deals.
Bayern Munich, having not fully replaced Robert Lewandowski since his move to Barcelona last year, are in need of a new striker.
Kane, with his impressive track record, appears to be an ideal upgrade following Sadio Mane's struggles at the Allianz Arena. However, Romano suggested that any major developments involving Kane may still be some time away.
The trusted journalist did acknowledge that Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel holds an admiration for Kane, which comes as no surprise. Nevertheless, this admiration does not guarantee an immediate collaboration between Tuchel and the English international.
"I am aware of the rumours linking Harry Kane and Bayern Munich. While I respect all sources, I personally do not have any concrete updates on Kane or any other club at this stage," said Romano.
"We must wait for Tottenham's position, as it ultimately depends on Daniel Levy, who remains hopeful of retaining Harry. Undoubtedly, Bayern has long admired Kane, and Thomas Tuchel is also a fan. However, negotiating with Spurs is never an easy task."
