Derby County’s Jason Knight could leave as Stoke City, Bristol City and Ipswich Town show interest
The Republic of Ireland international could make the switch to the EFL Championship according to various reports.
Derby County midfielder Jason Knight is wanted by various Championship clubs - with Bristol City already having two bids rejected.
The Robins' highest offer of £1.5m was rejected according to the Daily Mail and they are already lining up an improved bid for the player.
Ipswich and Stoke have now joined the fight for Knight as they look to bolster their squads ahead of the 2023/24 Championship season.
Knight was signed by Derby at the age of 16 and made his senior debut with the first team on the August 5, 2019 in a 2-1 win away at Huddersfield Town.
Since then, he has made 166 appearances for the club, scoring 14 goals and producing 7 assists in all competitions whilst making 20 caps for the Republic of Ireland national team.
Knight is about to enter the last year of his contract which could lead to a club getting a bargain of a fee for the 22-year-old.
On Tuesday, Derby announced the signings of Josh Vickers from Rotherham and Joe Ward from Peterborough.
Today they announced another signing in Hull City's Callum Elder to help aid their promotion bid next season.
However, The Rams could be set to lose a key player in Knight who has been a regular first team player for Derby in multiple seasons.
The Daily Mail also reported that Derby value Knight for a fee of around £2m compared to his market value of around £3.4m (Transfermarkt).
