Chelsea vs Leeds United Premier League tips: Goals will be hard to come by
Chelsea welcome Leeds United to Stamford Bridge for Premier League encounter they will be looking to win to start getting their campaign back on track.
This encounter is a crucial one for both clubs with Graham Potter desperate for a win to ease the pressure at Stamford Bridge. Their form since he took over has been atrocious. He has lost more games than he has won in his 26-game tenure and they are winless in six games.
They simply cannot buy a goal despite all the investment in the last two transfer windows. Kai Havertz, Joao Felix, Hakim Ziyech and Raheem Sterling are the quartet who drew a blank at Spurs last time out and expect Potter to shuffle his attack again to find a decent formula.
Two goals in seven games is a dreadful record, but Leeds have a similar problem. They won 1-0 last weekend against Southampton to stop the rot in Gracia's first game in charge.
But they lost at Fulham in the FA Cup in midweek - a game in which they showed up better than in the 1-0 win over Saints.
Leeds' big problem is that in both boxes they need to improve massively. Some of their approach play at Fulham was fantastic, but they have struggled to score, thus a record of one goal in their last five league games.
Goals look like being at a premium, but Chelsea might just find one to get past their West Yorkshire rivals.
Thiago Silva (knee) is out and Christian Pulisic, N'Golo Kante and Edouard Mendy all remain sidelined. Cesar Azpilicueta could return after following concussion protocol. Mateo Kovacic was ill last weekend, but could return.
Rodrigo, Adam Forshaw and Stuart Dallas are out. Luis Sinisterra and Pascal Struijk could return to action.
