Bristol City’s Alex Scott linked with Inter Milan move
Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott is already wanted by a host of Premier League clubs including Spurs, Wolves, West Ham and Bournemouth – and now Inter Milan have shown an interest too.
It is reported that Champions League runners-up Inter Milan are keen on bringing Alex Scott to Italy in a move that could be worth up to €25m.
Scott was named Championship Young Player of the Season for the 2022/23 campaign after providing five assists in 42 league appearances.
His performances have caught the eye of many clubs and according to Italian website Tuttomercatoweb, "the Nerazzurri could be able to close the transaction for around 18 million [euros]."
In a recent interview with Bristol Live, the CEO of Bristol City Phil Alexander spoke about the speculation surrounding Scott.
"I mention it because he is so high-profile and there is a degree of noise but we have not had any formal offer, as it stands. We'll deal with it as it comes and there won't be any knee-jerk reactions."
Scott has two years left on his current deal so the Robins believe he should be valued at around the £25m mark at least. This has apparently put off various clubs but Inter remain confident they can negotiate.
The 19-year-old has already been dubbed the 'Guernsey Grealish' and has represented England multiple times at youth level. He has also already made over 80 appearances for Bristol City since he joined from Guernsey back in 2020.
Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson believes Scott will represent the England national team at senior level one day. He was recently involved in the FIFA U20 World Cup with England, so it probably won't be long before this comes true.
