Bayern Munich sporting director calls Serge Gnabry 'amateurish' for attending Fashion Week
Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry is in trouble with sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic after taking a trip to the Paris Fashion Week.
Gnabry attended Fashion Week after the 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig last Friday, and was taken off at half-time in the 1-1 draw with FC Cologne on Tuesday night.
Salihamidzic is far from pleased with the 27-year-old's behaviour and wants to see a more professional attitude from him in future.
"That's amateurish, that's exactly what Bayern Munich isn't, frolicking somewhere when you have a day off," Salihamidzic told reporters.
"A day off is to rest so that you can step on the accelerator in the next game.
"We will talk about that on Wednesday, for sure. Of course there is a need to talk about it."
Meanwhile, head coach Julian Nagelsmann insisted that he took Gnabry off for purely football reasons and not anything related to off-field behaviour.
"I want to talk about what happens on the pitch, not off it. I thought we needed to bring in fresh blood at half-time, that's why I subbed him off," said Nagelsmann.
"It had nothing to do with other things. It was only about what I saw on the pitch."
