Alexis Mac Allister: Liverpool need a fit Mohamed Salah
Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is happy to have Mohamed Salah back at the club and hopes to see him at full strength again soon.
Salah has returned from the Africa Cup of Nations where he picked up a hamstring injury during the group stages, while on duty for Egypt.
It's not yet clear when Salah will be ready to play for the Reds again, and Mac Allister is crossing his fingers that the influential forward will be available to face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final on February 25.
Asked about the possiblity of having Salah in the team for the final, Mac Allister told beIN Sports: "I hope, because everyone knows how important he is for the team. He's one of our leaders.
"So I hope he comes back soon and healthy, that's the most important thing. He's a very professional guy, a very nice guy.
"We all want him back as soon as possible and hopefully he will be ready for this game."
Liverpool drew 1-1 with Fulham at Craven Cottage to secure their place in the final via a 3-2 aggregate.
