Sergio Perez is unfazed by the rumours regarding his future at Red Bull
Red Bull driver Sergio Perez isn't bothered by Formula One's rumour mill.
Sergio Perez has dismissed speculation about his future at Red Bull, saying he "couldn't care less" about what other people think.
The Mexican driver's position at the team has been under scrutiny in recent weeks, following a series of poor qualifying performances.
He finished only 16th in Q1 at Silverstone last weekend, missing out on the top 10 for the fifth Grand Prix in a row.
However, Perez insists that he is not worried about his future and is focused on helping Red Bull win races.
He is contracted to the team until the end of 2024, but is aware that they could change their plans if they are not happy with his performance.
Perez's comments come after Daniel Ricciardo was confirmed to be replacing Nyck de Vries at AlphaTauri from the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Australian is now seen as a potential replacement for Perez at Red Bull, if the team decide to make a change.
However, Perez is not concerned about the competition and says he is confident in his own ability. He is determined to prove his critics wrong and show that he deserves to keep his seat at Red Bull.
"Yeah, fully. I couldn't care less if I'm honest about that," he told Motorsport.com.
"I've been in F1 13 years, and I've seen it all. Not worried about any of that. I'm mainly focused on getting my season on track, and making sure I keep enjoying this."
