Red Bull F1 increased its profits in the 2022 season

Red Bull Technology Ltd, responsible for Red Bull Racing's Formula 1 success, saw improved revenue and profits in their dominant 2022 season.

Their unique business model differs from other teams, with RBT as the parent company of Red Bull Racing. Just 50 people are officially employed by the latter.

RBT's income includes payments for work with AlphaTauri, along with four related companies, two involved in F1 powertrain projects.

RBT reported a £385.6million turnover, a 13% increase from £341.9million in the previous year, with post-tax profits rising from £8.6million to £13.4million.

Red Bull Racing's figures are included, with a £278million turnover, almost £40million more than 2021, and a post-tax profit of £2.0million, up from £1.3million.

Extra income came from the F1 prize fund and increased sponsorship, notably Oracle's title partnership in 2022.

Costs were lowered through careful spending, performance, reliability, and minimal race damage.

Administrative expenses rose partly due to a £6.2million fine from the FIA in October 2022 for breaching the previous year's cost cap.
