Red Bull boss Christian Horner hails Max Verstappen's generational talent

Red Bull boss Christian Horner is singing praises of Max Verstappen, who recently clinched his 10th consecutive victory at the Italian Grand Prix, breaking Sebastian Vettel's previous record.

Horner believes that Verstappen's current form makes him virtually unbeatable in the world of Formula 1.

Horner expressed his admiration for Verstappen to reporters, stating, "Max is in a period of his career where he's just simply untouchable. I don't think there's any driver on the grid that will be able to achieve what he's been doing in that car.

"Being his teammate is probably - in some respects - the most enviable job to have because the barometer is so high. It's very difficult, and I think what we're witnessing at the moment is a driver that is generational [talent]."

Out of the 14 races won by Verstappen this season, his teammate Sergio Perez managed to outshine him only twice, at the Saudi Arabian and Azerbaijan Grands Prix. Verstappen faced a drive shaft failure in Jeddah, while Perez displayed his remarkable pace on the streets of Baku.

Horner also noted that even when Verstappen took grid penalties, Perez struggled to convert his pole positions into wins. "If you've looked at the previous races, I think in Bahrain he was already in a commanding position," Horner remarked. "He then had a drive shaft failure in Saudi in qualifying, and his recovery through the field was impressive there. So he's been in incredible form for the last three years."

With Verstappen's dominance continuing, he appears well on his way to securing his third world title. As the Formula 1 season progresses, it's becoming increasingly challenging for rival teams to catch up and disrupt his winning streak.

The next thrilling race on the Formula 1 calendar is the Singapore Grand Prix, scheduled for September 15-17. This physically demanding track at the Marina Bay Circuit in Singapore forces drivers to push their limits on a bumpy street surface under humid conditions.

Formula 1 fans around the world eagerly anticipate Verstappen's continued success as he heads into this demanding race.
