Ferrari's Charles Leclerc has shrugged off criticism surrounding Formula 1's perceived monotony amid Max Verstappen and Red Bull's continued dominance.

Over the past 25 Formula 1 races, Red Bull have triumphed in all but one, when George Russell secured a shock victory at the 2022 Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Verstappen's recent win at Monza marked his remarkable tenth consecutive triumph, surpassing Sebastian Vettel's nine-win streak from 2013.

When quizzed about the impact of Red Bull's stranglehold on the sport, Leclerc responded to the media, stating, "Dominance has always been a part of Formula 1. Max and Red Bull are performing exceptionally well, so they rightfully earn their success, whether it's thrilling or not."

He continued, "Honestly, if every race yielded a different victor with a mere one-second gap, it might make things more exciting. But this is the current state of F1, and their achievements are well-deserved."

Christian Horner, Red Bull's team principal, praised his team's impressive feat at Monza, as they move closer to securing a third Drivers' and a second consecutive Constructors' Championship.

"To win a single Grand Prix is already an arduous task, let alone securing 14 in a row or 24 out of 25. It demands dedication from every team member," remarked Horner. "We're competing against formidable rivals, and we're approaching each race methodically."

The upcoming Formula 1 event is the Singapore Grand Prix, scheduled for the weekend of September 15-17.

This race, held at the demanding Marina Bay Circuit, challenges drivers on its 5.063km bumpy street surface and humid conditions, promising an exciting spectacle for F1 fans.
