Christian Horner: Max Verstappen can read a race like no one else
Red Bull boss Christian Horner believes Max Verstappen's ability to adjust to different race situations sets him apart from the rest of the F1 drivers.
McLaren's Lando Norris was able to put some pressure on the world champion in Brazil by beating his time in certain sectors for spells in the race.
However, Horner has revealed that Verstappen never drives like someone under pressure and is always able to judge what he needs to do to put himself in the best position to win.
Verstappen went on to win by an eight-second margin over second-placed Norris.
Asked whether the Dutchman sometimes holds back, Horner explained: "Everybody manages their pace differently in a race.
"Max has become so good at reading a race that he doesn't panic if he sees them taking time out of him in the middle sector or whatever.
"He's looking at the long game and I think he's just got that inner confidence that he knows he knows where he is."
