Charles Leclerc has a 'great relationship' with Carlos Sainz
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc believes his working relationship with Carlos Sainz is healthy.
Charles Leclerc insists the perceived tension between himself and Ferrari team-mate Carlos Sainz is exaggerated.
Throughout the current season, there have been instances of discord between the two drivers, and their disagreements have been highlighted through radio communications.
For instance, during the Australian Grand Prix, Leclerc expressed dissatisfaction over not receiving the expected tow from Sainz during qualifying.
In the Austrian Grand Prix, Sainz radioed the team early in the race to request that Leclerc be moved aside, though the plea was turned down.
Furthermore, during the British Grand Prix, both drivers made pointed comments about each other following a competition for track position during the qualifying session.
"I am quite active on social media, so I see what's been said all around," Leclerc told Motorsport.com.
"It's blown out of proportion, I think, with Carlos. We have a great relationship.
"Outside the car, we know how to work together, and we get on really well together because we share lots of interests.
"At the same time, there's a lot of competitiveness in between us two. But we are in Formula 1, and I love the sport because there's competitiveness. I think it's great to have that."
