Aston Martin F1 will introduce upgrades at the Canadian Grand Prix
Aston Martin plan upgrades ahead of the F1 Canadian GP.
Aston Martin is confident it remains competitive in Formula 1 despite its recent challenges and the introduction of major upgrades by rival teams.
The team plans to bring upgrades to the Canadian Grand Prix to improve its performance.
While Aston Martin struggled in the Spanish GP, finishing behind Mercedes and Ferrari, team principal Mike Krack believes the order has not changed significantly behind Red Bull.
Driver Fernando Alonso has urged Aston Martin to roll out more updates to the car in order to stay near the front of the pack, and Krack admitted it's a valid request.
"He is right to ask us and push us for that," said Krack. "There will be something coming in Canada. It will be a step."
He acknowledges Fernando Alonso's call for more upgrades but assures fans that plans are already in place for improvements.
Krack points out that the team's performance stabilized during the race in Barcelona when everyone switched to harder tires.
Aston Martin remains optimistic about its position in the development race and aims to maintain its competitiveness in regularly fighting for podium finishes.
