Fresh faced middleweight contenders Caio Borralho and Michal Oleksiejczuk know that a win in their co-main event slot of this UFC Fight Night will be huge for their potential careers at 185lbs.
At 30 years old and on a three-fight win streak in the UFC, Brazil's Borralho is in his athletic prime and an impressive performance here could put him in a position to attack a diminished middleweight top 15 spot.
"The Natural" looks exactly that when he steps into the cage, exuding calm even in enemy territory and using his karate style movement to stay out of range of his opponents before striking like a viper to land heavy punches.
An expert wrestling top game allows him to glide from half guard to full guard and back again almost effortlessly, landing punches as he goes to soften up his opponents.
Oleksiejczuk has had great performances in the octagon, but his lack of consistency has stunted his progression.
An upset victory over Khalil Rountree became a no-contest after a positive drug test, impressive stoppages of Gadzhimurad Antigulov and Shamil Gamzatov were both followed by losses.
At 28 years old, "Hussar" has the time and the talent to be successful in the UFC, but if that time is now, he will need a statement win in impressive fashion over Borralho.
Borralho has a far more diverse fighting style than Oleksiejczuk, where the Brazilian is proficient everywhere his Polish opponent has been known to struggle on the ground, losing to both Ovince St Preux and Jimmy Crute by submission.
