From World Cup to Freak Fights: Ex Wolves and Poland international Slawomir Peszko joins CLOUT MMA
Slawomir Peszko has found his new calling after hanging up his boots.
Former Wolves midfielder and Poland international Slawomir Peszko has confirmed he will join influencer Lexy Chaplin to front a new MMA Freak Fight organisation.
Peszko, who represented Poland 44 times and was even selected for the 2018 World Cup, has agreed to become an ambassador for CLOUT MMA.
The player, who recently retired from competitive football at the age of 38, said: "The end of my football career was inevitable. Something ended, but something is also beginning.
"I'm entering the CLOUT MMA project not for 40% but a 100%. You know I like to have fun and it won't be boring. I promise that. It's going to be happening."
Peszko started his career with Polish club Wisla Plock and made 112 appearances before jumping ship to Lech Poznan.
After helping the club to a league title, the midfielder moved abroad and signed with Bundesliga side 1. FC Koln.
A short loan spell at Wolverhampton followed where the Poland international made 13 Championship appearances.
Another spell in Koln followed before Peszko returned to Poland, joining Lechia Gdansk.
Over the last three years, Peszko has been playing in the lower leagues with Wieczysta Krakow. During his time in the sixth, fifth and fourth tier of Polish football, the midfielder scored 88 goals in 77 appearances.
Life away from the football pitch now beckons, with his fellow CLOUT MMA ambassador Chaplin expecting big things.
The Polish influencer said: "Two years ago, sport completely changed my life. Today, I couldn't imagine not training MMA. When this idea came up to become co-owner and ambassador of CLOUT MMA, I immediately knew that I have to take advantage of this opportunity."
The first CLOUT MMA show is expected to take place in 2023, though a location or card is yet to be announced.
