UFC news: Molly McCann rocks London after knocking out Hannah Goldy in first round
Liverpool’s Molly McCann extended her UFC winning streak after sensationally knocking out Hannah Goldy in the opening round.
The 32-year-old was able to replicate her spinning elbow finish which earned her a victory over Luana Carolina in London last March.
That same elbow proved just as lethal against Goldy as the Brit rocked her opponent against the cage before finishing the bout with a flurry of strikes.
McCann followed the knockout with her signature wild celebrations as she jumped out of the octagon. Teammate Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett was seen jumping backstage as he watched the fight from his changing room.
McCann, 32, praised the capacity London crowd in her post-fight interview for supporting female fighters.
"I don't know if I've ever seen this in combat sports, in the UK people getting this behind a female athlete. That energy you bring gets you through," she said.

"I will not let you down, not ever. Have you ever seen lightning strike twice [referring to the elbow]? Well now you have."
McCann is currently on a three-fight winning run, which started with a decision victory over Ji Yeon Kim in September 2021.
The Liverpool-based martial artists has won six of her nine fights in UFC and has gained mainstream attention in recent years.
Her victory on Saturday night improved her professional record to 13 wins from 17 fights, including six victories by way of knockout.
