KSW 93 results: Salahdine Parnasse lights up Paris with stunning title defence
Salahdine Parnasse returned to winning ways at KSW 93 as he successfully defended his lightweight championship against Valeriu Mircea.
The 26-year-old turned on the style in his homecoming bout as he finished his opponent in the very first round.
Parnasse returned to winning ways after missing out on his third KSW title against Adrian Bartosinski last December in an enthralling welterweight clash.
On that ocassion, the Frenchman came up short by unanimous decision as he attempted to make history and become a three-weight champion. Parnasse had already claimed featherweight and lightweight gold with the organisation.
The man known as Kylian Mbappe of MMA has competed under the KSW banner since 2017, winning 11 of 13 bouts.
Saturday’s success also marked the first appearance in France for Parnasse since March 2017.
Earlier on the card, Wilson Varela picked up a TKO victory over Marian Ziolkowski. The Pole suffered an injury during the second round and was unable to continue.
Madars Fleminas came out victorious against Artur Szczepaniak with a second-round knockout victory.
Michal Martinek was also successful on the night as he knocked out Prince Aounallah.
The next KSW extravaganza takes place in May as former boxing heavyweight title challenger Artur Szpilka goes head-to-head with kickboxing legend Arkadiusz Wrzosek.
