Jakub Kaszuba to defend PFL Europe crown in second edition of continental title tournament
Poland’s Jakub Kaszuba will return for another season with PFL Europe as he looks to defend his lightweight championship.
The Auditor claimed the title and the $100,000 prize last season after going all the way in the inaugural tournament.
Kaszuba picked up victories over Mazim Radu and Dylan Tuke before finishing John Mitchell in December’s final.
The defending champion, who fights out of Florida, currently boasts an 11-0 record. Five of those victories have come by knockout while two were won by way of submission.
Joining Kaszuba in the tournament in 2024 will be England’s Kane Mousah. The Danger has a 14-5 record and arrives in the PFL following his spell with Belltaor.
The 37-year-old was last in action back in May when losing to Thibault Gouti at Bellator 296.
Spaniard Ignacio Capella has also been announced as a contender in the lightweight bracket.
The man known as Levium Armorum arrived in the PFL with a seven-fight win streak – six of those coming by way of stoppage.
Yazid Chouchane will be flying the flag for France in the tournament. The 34-year-old has two PFL outings on his record, beating Henrique Madureira in September and losing to Dylan Tuke back in December in Dublin.
Connor Hughes returns for another go at the event. The Englishman took part in the inaugural edition of the tournament but lost out in the semi-final to Irishman Tuke.
Germany's Anatolij Baal and Italy's Daniele Scatizzi have also been announced in the bracket. Scarizzi's sister Valentina took part in the women's tournament last year but lost in the final against Dakota Ditcheva.
