14:00 (Hereford) Pyffo
Jonjo O'Neill's Pyffo is one to watch in the Daily Racing Specials At Planetsportbet Novices' Hurdle.
He is in good form, having romped to victory by 17 lengths when resuming at Market Rasen in a maiden hurdle and that was followed by a good second at Warwick in a handicap hurdle, when he was beaten by only half a length.
He has a leading chance in this one.
14:30 (Hereford) Lightfoot Lady
Nicky Henderson and Nico De Boinville come to the party with Lightfoot Lady in the Best Odds Guaranteed At Planetsportbet Handicap Hurdle.
He went for a lay-off after just two runs last campaign, with the highlight being a third at Doncaster in a novice hurdle in January.
If he shows the form he displayed last term then he should have a huge chance here.
15:05 (Hereford) Imperial Bede
Imperial Bede did well at Southwell a month ago when second in a 2m4 1/2f novices handicap chase on deep ground.
Leading player set to go one place better on a quicker surface in the Liz And Izzy's Hoap Podcast Handicap Chase.
Hall Lane filled the same position attempting the same venue and journey beaten only 1L two weeks back among this handicap chase company and has every chance.
Fame And Fun won a 2m3 1/2f handicap chase at Plumpton before a decent third at the same track and is appealing.
15:35 (Hereford) Brianna Rose
Brianna Rose looks to continue her good form at Hereford in the Download The Planetsportbet App Mares' Handicap Chase.
She returned after a small break with a five length victory in a lower class course-and-distance handicap chase.
She stands a good chance here and could replicate that success.
16:05 (Hereford) Kick Up A Storm
Only six runners are scheduled to line up for this three-mile trip, and it’s hard to see past the short-priced favourite, Kick Up A Storm, who is looking to build on his impressive reappearance last month.
The Paul Nicholls-trained six-year-old had offered few signs of encouragement in this three 2023 outings, but the application of first-time cheekpieces produced an instant positive impact upon his return from a four-month break.
Having remained handy throughout the 23-furlong trip, Lorcan Williams produced Kick Up A Storm between the last two fences, from which point the result was never in doubt, as they pushed out to win by more than four lengths.
The gelding’s breeding suggests that he has the potential to run further and better, and the re-introduction of Harry Cobden to the saddle makes him very much the one to beat here.
16:35 (Hereford) Swift Hawk
Champion jockey and Planet Sport Bet ambassador Harry Cobden is aboard Swift Hawk in the Get Emma's Offers At Planetsportbet Handicap Hurdle.
Paul Nicholls' gelding brings good form to this one, having finished second in a handicap hurdle at Taunton.
The presence of Cobden will no doubt give Swift Hawk a boost and with only five coming to post, he should stand a good chance of claiming a victory.
Hereford selections:
Hereford: 14:00 Pyffo, 14:30 Lightfoot Lady, 15:05 Imperial Bede, 15:35 Brianna Rose, 16:05 Kick Up A Storm, 16:35 Swift Hawk.
