Doncaster each-way tip: Rhodia to give Gavin Sheehan more success

Doncaster racecourse

Towards the end of an enthralling weekend of racing at Doncaster, there's each-way value to be had as 17 contenders line up in Sunday's penultimate race.

15:35 Doncaster: SBK Novices' Handicap Hurdle (2 miles 1/2 furlong)

Matt Sheppard's Little Pi has emerged as the favourite and there's plenty to like about the six-year-old as he's been victorious in his last two outings.

However, his short price does not given much value in a race which offers plenty of each-way value.

Planet Sport Bet offer: Bet £20 on any runner in the race and if Noble Savage is in the first four, get a free £5 bet

This is emphasised by the threat of Star Turn, who came second in his last two races, albeit finishing nowhere near the winner in both races.

Noble Savage will be looking to build on his maiden victory at Taunton last time out and offers good value in the each-way market, but our main selection in this race is Rhodia

Suggested best bet: Rhodia each-way in the 15:35 at Doncaster

Although he is winless in 11 outings, Sarah Hollinshead's eight-year-old will be under the stewardship of serial winner Gavin Sheehan, who is enjoying a fine season.

Rhodia resumed after a break last time out with a modest fifth in a novice hurdle at Market Rasen on Boxing Day but he has certainly got the ability to be in the mix here.

He has also placed in 27% of his outings but has not placed since December 2022, so he is due at least a placing and Sheehan's booking may be the key to a winning formula.

Sheehan will be riding Rhodia for the first time and will give him a boost, as he has 69 victories this season and in 60% of his races, he has finished in the top four positions.
