SPEEDY SPOOKS (6) failed to figure again last time over 1m at Mansfield, beaten 3.5 lengths into fifth. Settles back early but winds up late. Leading contender. BULLETPROOF (1) was beaten just a head last start when fresh from a lay-off and landed his first top-three finish in the process at Merton over 1m. Great chance to break through. SCONAERO (3) again failed to feature last start, finishing sixth and beaten 3.5 lengths over 1m at Mansfield. Can play a significant role. THE COOLAROO KID (7) faced the starter for the first time and finished eighth last start at Wodonga over 7f, beaten 13 lengths. Can improve sharply.
