ALTERNATE (2) doesn't have the best strike rate but ran a strong race when resuming from a lay-off last time out over 7f at Berrigan, finishing second and beaten 1.75 lengths. This doesn't look as hard so he is sure to be right there at the finish. LISIEUX (3) settled well back last start and never threatened when 7 lengths from the winner in eighth over 5f at Mornington. Has the ability to take care of this field. PINDARI POINT (4) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing second and beaten only a long neck over 6f at Healesville. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. JOURNEY TO RIO (5) finished fourth last time out over 5f at Healesville, beaten 3.5 lengths. Has a good record at this journey with two wins from five starts. Definite player.
