SIR WILLIAM BRUCE (2) showed good early speed and led around the bend last start before being cut down, finishing fifth and beaten 2.25 lengths over this journey at Ararat. Will go forward and is expected to be in the finish. SOLAR FLASH (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4.5 lengths when ninth over 7f at Werribee a week ago. Finds a nice race and can find winning form. MORE THAN INVOLVED (4) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when third over 6f at Healesville. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. SKY WARRIOR (5) hasn't made an impression lately despite market confidence. Last start could only manage sixth over 1m at Woolamai. Can sneak into the finish.
