ARTIFACTX (1) made a strong late bid but just failed to pick up the winner when when resuming last start over 5f at Orange. Sure to derive great benefit from that run. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves his chance. CRYPTONIC (2) resumes from a lay-off of five months. Could only manage to finish fifth at the latest run over 5f at Hawkesbury. Has trialled well leading into this. Good chance to break through. CLAN D'ORO (6) is back after a break of ten weeks. At the last run before the layoff she finished eighth over 6¼f at Kempsey. Rates highly and is a chance to break through. MAGNOLIA JEWEL (7) is a two-start maiden who finished fourth, beaten 3 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 4½f at Muswellbrook. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration.
