STEP FORWARD (7) was ridden positively and led throughout to score over 5f at this track last time. Same winning combination here and expected to take catching. Group 2 winner FLAG OF HONOUR (4) was always forward and boxed on to finish second over 5½f at Listed level at this track last time. Tougher assignment this time but is expected to be in the finish. Group 2 winner CANDY OVERLOAD (3) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 5½f in stakes class at this track, getting home by half a length. Winning rider Patrick Husbands retains the mount. This looks a sterner test than last time but on current form he is capable of testing his rivals. Group 3 winner IRONSTONE (2) resumed last start over 5½f in Listed grade at this track and showed little early speed, settling well back but hitting the line hard to finish third, beaten 1.5 lengths. Tougher assignment this time but can figure in the finish.
