DEVELOPING THE WAY (1) returns from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when eighth over 1m at Turfway Park (Synthetic). Bold showing expected with the blinkers added. BILL NEEDLE (7) settled towards the tail when resuming last start then wound up strongly to finish 5 lengths away in third over 5½f at this track. Expected to prove tough to stop. MIGHTY PELE (3) was in contention on the bend and finished second last start over 5½f at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. HIP TO YOUR TRICKS (2) resumes in a similar race to his last run five months ago when second, beaten 0.1 lengths. Definite top-three chance.
