MESAAFI (2) is without a win after eight attempts. Improved since returning from a mid-season break including a third over course and distance from this mark in latest. Could be thereabouts. PALS BATTALION (6) hasn’t added to a Beverley novice success from last year. Did finish second from just 1lb lower at Leicester before posting another creditable effort at Ayr and is considered adopting first-time visor. Handicap debutante BOREALIS THUNDER (9) shaped nicely running third in a 7f Brighton maiden. Further improvement likely after just three starts. GLITTERELLA (4) has gone close several times on turf. Switching to this surface might suit.
