RANGATIRA JACK (3) made steady progress with hurdles last season. Best effort yet finishing runner-up at Exeter in April and the winner has G2-placed since. Tops the list. HIGH FIBRE (2) was a talented performer at his peak on the flat. Not at his best in two starts since wind surgery. Switching to hurdles might make a difference. VAGUELY ROYAL (9) was a useful flat racer. Didn’t convince with his jumping when fourth here on hurdling debut. Might do better this time. MOAB (7) out performed long odds running fourth as a hurdling debutante and might progress.
