IRON LOTUS (8) showed good early speed then led into the straight when fresh from a lay-off last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Well-placed and will take catching. SARA'S SAPPHIRE (2) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0.3 lengths from the winner in second over 7f at Delta Downs after being prominent at the turn. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. BEBOP BABY (3) resumes. After filling a minor placing at her last appearance at canterbury park (dirt) over 5½f on august 20. Among the better hopes. DERBY DAY LASSIE (6) was never really a threat when resuming last start over 6f at Oaklawn Park (Dirt), finishing 19 lengths from the winner in 11th. Should do much better.
