RUNAWAY SOUL (3) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 12 starts. Was again denied last start when he found one better over 6f at Colac. Nicely placed to test this line-up. PERI PERI RICH (12) settled well back last start and never threatened when 7 lengths from the winner in fifth over 6f at Caulfield Heath. Tackling a more suitable race this time so she is sure to be prominent. ELLE MCFEARSOME (14) settled towards the tail then wound up strongly to finish one length away in third when resuming last start over 6f at Dunkeld. Strong chance again. KIMONO (11) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing third and beaten only 1.2 lengths over 6f128yards at Geelong. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
