DENIRRA (7) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 4 lengths, over 5½f at Stony Creek. Well placed and the one to beat. CARRY ON CAMPING (9) finished fifth two runs back at Mt Gambier then improved last time out to score by 0.6 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend over 4½f at Mt Gambier. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is right in contention. HEROIC CHIEF (8) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fifth over 6½f at Wodonga. Best figures measure up nicely. Can do a lot better. TOM THE STAR (5) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing sixth at Hanging Rock over 5f. Going up a level this time but he cannot be underestimated.
