SILENT IMPACT (4) has been in the market at his last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start finishing sixth over 7¾f at Canterbury. Can improve sharply. WILBURY (6) showed good early speed and led throughout to score by a neck last start over 5f at Orange. Record at this journey is strong with four wins from 11 runs and shapes as a key contender. STRATIFIED (8) finished just 0.7 lengths from the winner in second last start over 5½f at Dubbo after racing on the speed. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is worth serious consideration. SMART AND DAPPER (7) has not won for a long while. Last raced on March 7 when beaten 1.75 lengths into fourth at Dubbo over 5½f. Meets some better types this time but he has the ability to test this field.
