Race Tip
NEW MAHER (2) ran below expectations when fresh from a lay-off at Toowoomba over 6½f last time, finishing fifth and beaten 4.5 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. MUST BE THE MONEY (14) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at Talwood two starts back then got the job done by 0.8 lengths as public elect last time out over 6½f at Toowoomba. Steps up a level but she is capable of running another bold race. THE DEPUTY (1) showed little early speed then came with a powerful run to finish second last time out over 6½f at Toowoomba. One of the main contenders. QUALITY MISS (12) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Ipswich, finishing third and only 0.6 lengths from the winner at the end of 6¾f. Well placed and should be about the mark.
