NAVY KING (8) has had two runs since a break, the latest a seventh over 7½f at Caulfield Heath, beaten 3 lengths. Untried over this journey but is very fit so a big run is on the cards. PICAROON (2) finished 3.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 1m2f at Ballarat, an improvement on her seventh at Caulfield the run before. Finds a more suitable contest and can find winning form. UNSEEN RULER (3) turned things around last start and scored by a long neck over 1m1f at Caulfield Heath. Tackling a more suitable race so he is a major player again. FLYING BASIL (10) ran well despite being friendless in betting when resuming last time over 7f134yards at Moonee Valley, finishing third and beaten 1.4 lengths at 20/1. Among the fringe chances.
